I can’t believe that a whole year has passed since our last family trip to South California. Exactly a year ago, we were enjoying the newly opened Pixar Pier in Disney’s California Adventure during their Pixar Fest. It was also Sophia’s first time in California Adventure since we only went to Disneyland and Universal Studios the trip prior. Since Thursday, Sofy and I have been reminiscing the trip and hope to be able to take another one soon.
Among the many beautiful ladies who walked the stage in December 16, 2018 at the IMPACT Arena in Thailand was no other than Catriona Gray. Representing the Philippines for the 67th Miss Universe beauty pageant, the 24-year old Australian-Filipino took home the crown and the Miss Universe title, making her the fourth Miss Philippines to win the pageant.
Born on January 6, 1994 in Queensland, Australia, Catriona Elisa Magnayon Gray was named after her paternal grandmother. She grew up in Australia and after graduating from high school, she moved to the Philippines where she later became a commercial model.
Gray has accomplished quite a lot of things at such a young age. The beauty queen has received her master’s certificate from Berklee College of Music in Boston, Massachusetts and another certificate for Outdoors Recreation. She is also a black-belter in Choi Kwan Do, a TV host, pop singer, and stage actress. On her spare time, she has dedicated herself to giving back to the community by doing volunteer work for the children.
It’s easy to blame your child for the bad results he received. “Why didn’t you pay attention in class?!” “You don’t know and you didn’t ask?!” “What were you doing when the teacher was teaching?!” These might have been your first thoughts but it’s really unfair for you to blame your child for her bad […]
This morning’s fog felt great somehow. The first fog of the season. I finally can say I can feel the winter is coming. A sign of the upcoming holiday festivities and the nonstop cold weather coming in. The excitement of it all started kicking in.
I am neither for Trump nor for Clinton. The outcome of this Presidential Election has been nothing more than straight chaos and it has already been crazy throughout the campaigns. To me, they both have a lot of unwanted publicity and a whole lot more incriminating attitudes and actions. It makes me wonder, would the outcome have been the same if Hillary had won the election?
Believe me, I get it. People are protesting. There are riots everywhere. All because Donald Trump won the presidency. As mentioned, I don’t like him either. I personally don’t agree with a lot of things he has promised to do for our country. With Hillary, there are a lot of things I don’t agree with either. Okay, Freedom of Speech, I’m there, I totally understand that, but all these riots are getting out of bound! Violence will not resolve anything, nor would it fix America. So does hatred. I am not just talking about Anti-Trump protesters. Ever since Trump won, there have also been news of violence towards gay people, people of a certain religion, etc. What is up with that?
If anything, what this country needs more are peace and order. Through that, we have a far more greater chance of fixing of what is left of this country. Instead of focusing on all these nonsense, find a way to resolve this country’s issues (such as bettering healthcare, education, and the economics). Hating on a certain group, blowing up or vandalizing places, and all that are acts of an ignorant person who only adds more fuel to the fire. Things are already bad enough as it is.
We have absolutely no chance of having a better country if people just keeps up with all these chaos.
Yep, it is a Friday night staying at home with a cup of wine as I sit here at home doing laundry, crocheting a beanie for my baby for this coming Winter, doing laundry, and doing crafts with Sofy as I sip on a glass of wine. Thank God it’s Friday at Home Sweet Home
I remember going to Disneyland every summer as a kid. It was fun. Memorable. The highlight of my summer vacations. Of course, I had nothing to worry about with the expenses. The only worry I had was which ride am I gonna go on first and after that. Years passed since I last went. And here we are again!
It has been a little over a week since my last visit to the happiest place on Earth. The only difference this time is I went as a mother taking her daughter there for the very first time. Though the trip somehow put a hole on my pocket, it is indeed a very worthwhile and a much more memorable trip than the previous ones! It is seeing the happiness in my child’s eyes. The excitement and reactions in her face. The appreciation she has shown. Nothing is far more better than that!
The title itself is the second entry to the book If It Hurts, It Isn’t Love by Chuck Spezzano, Ph.D. The entry talks about those who might make us feel like we’re being attacked. Those whose actions towards us are unloving. They are the ones who are calling out for love. I xan’t say I totally agree with that a 100%. Yes, it can be true. But on the other hand, if their daily actions are to push you away and not once have they shown you love, I doubt that that’s a call for love from the other person. How much more patience shall the other person have to exert? There’s only so much one can hold inside them. They too are calling for love.
